Default BBS Montreal rims - Champagne vs Hypersilver?

Hi - wondering if anybody knows or has seen the difference. I am shopping for a trim ring to replace the one that's damaged last year. I've tried the wheel shops and most of them are skittish abt doing the repair because it's not a simple curb rash.

Anyway - I am abt to buy a trim ring from UK - URL:
http://www.jagwheeltrims.co.uk/

I think Coventry west stocks them as well ...

Anyway - then I saw this part:
http://www.autopartsfair.com/jaguar-...y59754u53.html

That's pretty cheap for a wheel, and not just the trim ring - but I wonder what champagne color means. Does anybody know? As long as I can remember, the only color for Montreal is Silver.

I still have the option of course, sending it to BBS USA for refurb, but the whole wheel option looks pretty good right now. I need to get new tires too, so might as well replace the damaged wheel at the same time ....

The official color is Oyster but like you, I thought all Montreals were silver, that is very cheap for a whole wheel.

The earlier BBS wheels came in 2 colors silver or oyster, detroits, paris etc

be cautious rOm, there are many of those internet sites dedicated to providing you used wheels. I tried this once, and the process is...you place an order, then they try to source it for you. Last time I waited about 4 weeks before finally canceling my order. They are not in stock, almost EVER.

My recommendation, don't do it.

LOL...I just googled the part number they show........I am with the guys above, I have never dealt with that company before but I am a firm beleiver of the old adage 'if something looks too good to be true, it generally is'.
All those websites look to be the same people, very dodgy!

Steer 'wheel' clear

I think I would also be leery of sending the wheel to BBS right now. They are going through bankruptcy. You might send them the wheel and never see it again if they go TU.

The intend for re-structuring would still include oem work, so also the Jaguar BBS wheels (but I agree, don't send your wheels of yet), lets hope it will work out...

Yeah, I'm with racer and avos. I almost crapped when I saw how cheap those were. I thought maybe... just maybe it was a lot of some leftover wheels from the jag production run or excess BBS inventory. But then I kept reading and yep -- if its too good to be true, it probably is.

I'd normally say send them to BBS, but definitely not now, under bankrupcy. I knew a guy that had bought a Four Winns boat, and it was at their factory. He couldn't get at it for months while they were in bankrupcy.
