Default BCM/BPM

Hey I've got a 2002 Jaguar xk8 and I need a BCM with the part number LJE2500AD-164, the issue is, I am having trouble finding a module that has a matching vcat number (last three digits). Does anyone know of anywhere I can find a module with this number? I've tried eBay a few times but all of them either have the VCAT number 163 or are unmarked. Thanks

Hi,
did you have any luck?
My 2002 XK8 is acting up too.
my suffix is 165 , finding one is proving to be a challenge.

btw
if you have issues with your tcm, the vcats number is actually printed on the module.

I had mine repaired but it did not fix my problem. And I still needed to get the module programmed by a dealership after that

Good luck

The problem is that most breakers don't bother to copy the 3 digit number from the VCATs label onto the module, so you have no idea what it is. The best you can hope for is to try and find one from a coupe or convertible as appropriate with the matching module number and ignore the XXX. Any missing options can be programmed by WDS.

I would want to be 100% sure the problem was in fact with the BPM before buying a replacement - people seem to forget to check things like fuses, relays, switches, wiring and ground points, before deciding it must be the black box.
