Best looking cell phone holder ever - home made – with pics
So I had an idea and it seems to work really well. I hated all the cell phone holders I had so here is what I did. My phone comes with a metal back, if yours doesn't it is easy to put in. You can put something between the phone and the case or in the battery compartment.
Anyway I purchased 2 rare earth magnets, they are real cheap. I put them on a piece of gorilla tape and then put them behind my dash. My phone now attaches to the dash without any visible holder at all. It works great! 5 minutes and $11.

You do not need a magnet in the back of the phone only a thin piece of metal, I am sure you can find something around the house to cut. You can use the top of a Altoids tin or something like that. The phones that can do wireless charging should already have that capacity.

Scott, I was a little bit concerned about having a couple of rare earth magnets (I've used them on other things before and they're pretty powerful magnets) on the back of a smart phone for extended periods of time.
Have a look here and make you're own decision: Will a magnet damage my smartphone? | blog.first4magnets.com
It looks a very elegant solution though.

Hi Scott,
If you're getting an HTC then check out their car kit. I've got the HTC One with this: HTC CAR ACCESSORIES Specs and Reviews | HTC United Kingdom
As soon as it goes in the holder it goes into car mode and then connects to the stereo via bluetooth. Googlemaps is also my satnav. Taken me over Europe fine.
