Best Sounding XK
Nothings for certain but I've been toying with the idea of switching out my stock mufflers to give the cat some "growl". I don't want to make the car much louder or anything. Really I'm just looking for a muffler to give it a little more "V8" exhaust note. Any suggestions?

I have thought about these as well. How are they on longer trips? Do you have a part number for the resonator you mentioned?
Thanks!

Yeah think I'm going to go for a full system instead if deleting the mufflers is the "cheaper alternative because I probably won't pass inspection.

Sounds like what many of us are looking for. I just had motorcarman put the Nameless cats on late last year. I'm interested.

As another alternative to the Mina Gallery exhaust, check out Milltek: Jaguar XKR performance exhaust systems
My XKR came with the Milltek exhaust as a factory installed optional extra. The sound is excellent with the desirable V8 burble etc. but quiet enough on highway trips where the tachometer sits around 2500 rpm. it starts to crackle and pop at around 3-4000 rpm.
There is an audio file on their website if you click around a bit.
I would gladly download a video for you to hear it, but the car is in winter storage until April :-( The audio file on the Milltek site is pretty much how mine sounds though.
Here´s a picture of how it looks on my car.
Good luck!

If you have a K&N type filter that should factor into your exhaust decision. My 2000 had the intake kit installed when I bought it but I was really astounded at the sound difference when I went back to the stock intake for a while. The open intake behavior is similar to what NorJag describes where it's difficult to tell the difference at idle but once you get on the accelerator you hear the difference above 3k.
