Totally Pissed of with the organizers ....I book at £24 ,no conditions specified and a couple of days before they tell me I cannot leave before 4 pM . Is this a Russian Gulag?

I dont want to spend 6 hr trapped in this show ground ..We will see ...refund I think.

Can't agree more, this wasn't specified beforehand or I may have thought twice. I'll really try and make the most of the day but don't like the fact that I have no means of escape if the weather is rubbish or I've had enough before then. I'm taking a friend who is not that able-bodied so don't really like the thought of being held on site against my will should we choose to leave.

best wishes

Mark

I will let you know what the boss man says when he replies tomorrow paying £24 to go to the show is not the same as paying £24 to be the show and for them to make a profit off me . Trapped and having to eat cap food when I want to call in at a restaurant on the way home

I have to agree re the exit gate not being opened before 4pm. I have not experienced this at any classic car show in the past and I feel that it’s a totally unreasonable condition, especially for those with long journeys home and work on Monday.

Please let us know what the organisers say.

Here's my response from James Blackwell at JEC,

'...you can indeed leave earlier, but as always we ask that you please find a marshal to help escort you out safely. I am sure you can understand with large volumes of people attending our events we must take every step necessary to keep everyone safe.'

Hopefully, problem solved.

I emailed him after seeing your post this morning and that was his reply this afternoon. I should see you there. I’ll also be in zone F with the rest of the XK8s preregistered to the section. I’ll look out for you…

The forecast isn’t great. Also, just noticed your planned times Pistonbroke. If you arrive at 10.30 I don’t know if you’ll be able to park in the XK8 section or whether you’ll be in the general car park as I read in my email from Jim Mann that the plan is to close off the exhibition area to vehicular traffic at 10.00 when the show starts.

From what he told me there is no public area as all cars are pre booked and the type known they have all been allocated to a specific spot ..mine is K..We shall see .. If I am in a general carpark then fine I can leave when I want
