Hi Johnken,
Anything that you can stream from your phone via bluetooth will play on this unit. It pairs like you would to a bluetooth speaker.
Also, if you have an iPhone, it will allow you to use voice commands and access Siri.
Hi Scottatl,
You are in luck !
Works in 1998-03 x308 and 1998-06 x100
Largely due to this wonderful thread I purchased the same unit, and was on my way to a super easy install.
But of course...
My wiring harnesses are completely different on my 01 XK8 Coupe. I was looking all over for clean grounded, 12V ignition switched power, then starting blowing fuses some how.
Thanks you! I saw that diagram but nothing matched up to to any of the harnesses. I also saw a post by GGG that mentioned a change in 2002, but that didn't seem to match up either. My yellow connectors are 18 pin, and I just keep finding info on 10 & 14 pin connectors.

Did you ever get the Bluetooth module installed in your jaguar XK8. I have a 1998 jaguar XK8 and I’m interested in purchasing that module that goes under the armrest. Can you tell me where you purchased yours and if it worked out for you? Thank you KASEY OLIVER

Hello Kasey
Ive had the unit installed for several months and it works well for streaming my music through the car speakers.
The mic for the phone isn’t so great and it picks up a lot of surrounding noise- especially with the top down!
From reading the install guide, it looks like ALL sounds come from the CD input on the head unit. This is for music AND phone calls. It means that if a call comes in, you have to (manually) turn the head unit on and then to CD. Same for music (that part is great). Other option is to not do the phone pairing (only music), and keep receiving calls on the phone itself, I suppose.
Other systems have a better wiring that takes advantage of the mute and phone-in of the head unit. This way, incoming calls require you to just accept the call, and that is it. Even if the head unit is off, the call comes in through the car speakers. If you are already listening to music, it mutes it, and you get the call instead. Might even pause the CD. To my knowledge, all our cars have this mute/audio-in feature on the head unit, and wired to the arm rest, too.
can you please share which other systems you are referring to? Trying to find the best solution for my xjr100
Not sure if I'm answering your specific question, but check out Discount car stereo's website. I got my jagcd-hf from them. As I recall they do XJ cars too.
