Default Bolts info for 97 front subframe fit.

Hi all. I'm looking for the bolts that hold the front subframe to the chassis on my 97 X100.
failing that, some info regarding the leingth and thread spacing would be useful so I could buy some bolts from the web.
I've been looking everywhere for the jaguar bolts but so far I've turned up not a lot! I've found the front bracket bolts and the ones that hold the V-mounts to the sub but not the long torx bolts.
Any info welcome.

I wish you had posted this a few weeks ago.
I just dropped the crossbeam/engine/gearbox and reinstalled it in my 1998 XK8.

There do not need to be TORX head T55 bolts.
You could use Allen or reduced hex head?

I'm guessing M10 x 1.50mm but they are 2 different lengths.
Maybe M12?

Thanks for that info. And to bladerunner.
I've been on that site and they are one of the many who list all the bolts but haven't got any! Another thing is that their prices for all these are mind blowingly high.
I was thinking that if I can find the spec on all the bolts I could buy them from somewhere else at a much rejuced price.
Anothre little thing that's on the go at the moment is the rubber mount that the fuel pump sits in inside the fuel tank. Most of the Jaguars used this rubber mount but its not available anywhere. The part number is NNA6020AA Plus the rubber collar that the pump rests on NNA62020BA. I may have to make a mount if I can't find one.

Aren't they all available on that site, which is Jaguar itself? Plus it also lists all the thread sizes and lengths in the part description, so you can just find an alternative supply.

I just looked up T55 bolt diameter and pitch.
The diameter is M12
The thread pitch is coarse because I remember it being about 1.75mm.

Like i said. The prices are out of this world and I'm not about to spend a hundred quid plus shipping on bolts I can buy for less somewhere else. Us retired guys have to whatch what we spend with what's going on with this Labour party we have at the moment.
The spec tells me on someting about them but not the thread spacing. I'm just having to visit some Jaguar workshops to find the spec before I buy.

Motorcarman. Thanks for that spec. I can work out how long they are but the thread pitch info is very useful! There are a few so thats a door closed. I can even use bolts from other make cars when I know what I'm looking for. Thanks.

Well regardless of the price of these bolts, I still haven't found any supplier (including Jaguar) that have any of the long bolts in stock and they aren't expecting any in the future. If anyone has even one of the torx bolts handy I'd be interested in buying it!

Which bolt are you after? The M12 x 85mm?

Its the four torx-head bolts that hold the front subframe to the chassis? They screw up through the two V-mounts and through the front mounts.
The rest I can buy from other places. The four torx bolts are the only type I can use as using hex bolts prevents the use of sockets to torque them up.
Thing is Jaguar don't have any and they often either snap when they are loosened or the torx fitting strips. Bit of a problem really but I'll keep looking for the odd one here and there till I have all of them.

Yes they are all there. If I purchased all of them I think it would cost about £240 so I'll search on for some used examples provided whoever has removed them hasn't just thrown them away!

At least we've established that they are actually available as a last resort. I'd suggest you call Auto Reserve (https://www.autoreservejaguar.com/) as a starting point. They break XK8s, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if they have a large box of bolts kicking around.

Well to start with only one of those bolts are available to buy. The rest aren't. There was a german site that had the long bolts but the shipping with the price they want for them was too much.
Auto reserve don't have any and I'm on the list to be contacted by them should they have any in the furure that haven't been damaged on removal.
I have mailed every dismantlers on the web and so fay, nothing.

Now I'm really confused - I feel like we must be at crossed purposes. Which bolts on that diagram are not available - they all have an 'Add to basket' button, indicating they're in stock? Or are you looking at a different diagram?

Give Berkshire Jag Components a try - he had a couple of XK8 breaking when I was there a few weeks ago: https://www.berkshirejagcomponents.com/

Try adding them to your basket. That's when you find they don't have them. I take it you are looking at the Jaguar classic site that if they were available they charge comming on to £30 per bolt
Just tried Berkshire Jaguar parts and they don't list any of the following part numbers.
JZS100074. JZB100095. JZS100150. JXB10840B.

I can add all of them to the basket, so not sure why they show unavailable to you. You need to phone Berkshire Jag and ask, not look at their website.

I've just been on there and it doesn't recognise any of those part numbers (Berkshire Jaguar) The Classic Jaguar site does but they don't have any.
Also, I'm not about to spend coming on for £300 on bolts!
