Default Boot / Trunk Lock Fix RESOLVED

Not had my XKR long but I found my key would not open the boot/trunk. Tried all the usual stuff i.e spraying it with wd40 etc several times no luck. Could not find the solution online anywhere so decided to have a go myself. I fixed it! Very chuffed with myself. So here is a little video I did of my fix. I hope this helps someone.

The fixings at 3:08 into the video are called 'Scrivets' (screw-rivets).

The same style of fixings are used on the front bumper undertray.

One lives and learns Thanks for that, though that name suggests a nasty disease.
