Brake fluid flush

Actually that is not the proper way to flush a braking system. If you do not have access to a pressure bleeder then it's a two person operation. The problem with Thermo's description is that you are sucking up some old fluid back into the system each time you release the pedal when you are pumping the pedal. As one person pushes down on pedal you open the valve and then you want to close the bleed valve before the pedal is released. Always use fresh brake fluid from an unopened container. Also normally you bleed brakes starting with the caliper farthest away from the master cylinder. On Jaguars its the opposite. The way the braking system is plumbed, you want to start with the caliper closet, LF and work your way to RR. BTW, I think the bleed valve is 9mm on these cars.

I suspected it would be a two person job but not having done an ABS system I wasn't sure if it was the same as the ol'school way of one in one out, pump 3, to floor stop, repeat until clear. The other dumb question because I'm disclesic and am looking forward to claiming ole timers.
Are all descriptions of direction from the drivers perspective vs standing in front of the car, which would be the exact opposite?
