I just replaced my OEM brake rotors and pads with drilled and slotted rotors and EBC Red Stuff pads, after the break in period my brakes still sound funny. ITs almost a grinding noise coupled with a downshift noise. Its awful hard to describe noises. Anyway is this normal for drilled and slotted rotors? Thanks in advance for responses. Jim

 

Drilled rotors do make an odd noise. I had them on my wifes Maxima, (drilled and slotted) and did not notice any noise. Just awesome performance. But on my motorcycle, I can notice a sound kind of like there is dirt or sand between the pad and rotor. But this is a completely normal sound with drilled rotors.
Nothing bad, just different...guess its the air passing thru the holes.
