brake rotors and pads for XKR Silverstone
Hi everyone,
I need a bit of advice about something I'm investigating for some time now in this forum and elsewhere ...
I have a XKR Silverstone MY 2001 and it is about time I change the brake rotors and pads. I need to find the correct parts, having in mind they might be different than standard XKR since the Silverstones have few extra features.
So my first question is what are the part numbers for Silverstone for:
a) front brake rotors (crossdrilled)
b) front brake pads
c) rear brake rotors (crossdrilled as well)
d) rear brake pads
and once I have this confirmed:
1) Where to buy (Europe) and which model/maker?
2) Are the aftermarket rotors offered for instance by Jaguar Parts | Land Rover & Range Rover Parts | British Parts UK good quality?
3) Brake pads. Now I'm using the EBC red stuff. I'm very happy with the performance, very good stopping power, no squeaks, no brake dust, but they ate up the rotors - want to try something else. Akebono looks good, but I'm not able to identify the ones I need ... any suggestions?
many thanks, Asen.
