Tom,
You are correct that you should have the pulse but if it is not getting the right signal or if you have a bad connection this could be the cause. it seems like the only link to the system going from right to left. It could be the master brake cylinder but I never heard of a scenario like this relating to the master cylinder. Just remember we are beginning to experience things that have not exposed itself before. The one big reason I continue to ask people to provide the solutions.
