Just wanted to mention, that if anyone was considering building an XK180 replica, there is a guy here in Sydney who has a fibreglass body which goes over an XJS chassis.

XK180 Replica - JAGworks

and

*JAGUAR XK180 Replica - "Complete body & XJS Donor car" - JAGworks

This is the first kit car I've seen that really strikes me. The fiberglass would be excellent to work with and it seems very doable.

However I'll probably never do it, my xjs isn't even road worthy yet haha. This project would never get finished.

Default Xk180

I think you'd start with an XJS with a dead powertrain, do the LS1 conversion then do the kit. You'd then end up with a pretty cool car. Supposedly the kit will also fit to an XK8/R as well. The Kit has an interior component as well but there are not pictures of it that I could find. Was curious how well it was done. Unfortunately it isn't anything I'd want to take on either but I'd be tempted to buy one someone else had done.
