Peter Egan, my favorite automotive writer at Road&Track, put this great article out a few years ago. Amusing and fun read of high relation content for all here!
Much like Peter's van, this makes me feel better about recently garaging my XKR far more often in favor of (*gasp*) an older 2003 Suburban that I now daily. The Jag (and the Audi) get treated as described here now. Why deny myself the pleasure more often? Risk mitigation. Not just to the Jag, but to myself. I've got 3 kids, a wife, a small ranch, a 75 mi. commute daily partly on (unstriped!) two-lane back roads, and I just feel far safer in the Suburban for the sake of my family than I do in my beautiful wheel ramp. Height and sheetmetal are everything for this objective of increasing the odds of survivability. A four-fatality head-on collision 1 mile from our place last month was the last straw for my wife and I. So out come the big guns for perfect weather days, nights out with the wife, and the small weekend errands instead. Great peace of mind, and always something to look forward to.

From the thread title, I was expecting a post from a French speaking member:
Véhicules d'occasion - Used cars
I too have always had a car reserved for special occasions but a succession of Jaguars have been my daily drivers. As a result none look as good as your XKR.
