Catalytic converter problem?
Hello friends,
Out of curiosity, I've checked the temperature of my downpipe catalysts and found something odd. This is the part that I checked see below.
Catalytic converter/downpipes
The temperature after a ride was at 425F, at the lower end of the pipe. The exhaust directly connected to it was measured at 180f, measure taken 1inch away from the connection. How can there be such a difference in temperature? Does that mean the cat is clogged?
Both sides gave identical numbers, given a few degrees.
I've checked nameless, but they're out of stock for the California carb rated model. Any other option for my 04 Xkr?
Thanks a lot
