Default Code reader

Hello, Helpful knowledgable Jaguar masses. i'm looking to buy a code reader and have seen the iCarSoft LR2 recommended. I read the reviews on Amazon and eBay etc., and some were not so good. Any recommendations and we're the bad reviews off base.
Not having any issues at this time but I plan on having this beauty for quite a while and need to be equipped. As the the old song says..... "Better to have and not need than to need and not have." Thanks, TM

I have the i930 and it works ok. Never used the newer LR2 but I expect it would be fine.

There is an LR2 for sale in the classifieds.

Default Code Reader that works

When I was having trouble with the ABS system my old code reader was of no help. I bought a Autel 619 and it is able to read and clear stardard codes, Jaguar Factory codes, ABS , SRS and Can. Plus it does live data and is not expensive.

I bought the iCarSoft LR-1after having trouble getting one of the inexpensive code readers to connect with my 2002 XKR OBD-II system.

the LR-1 has worked well so far. I looked at the LR-2 specifications, but as far as I could tell, the extra functionality it offered would only have applied if I was using it on a much later model year.

So apparently no reason to spend the extra $$$ on the LR-2.
