I used a company I found on eBay called SIA Electronics (not ASI).

They can be reached at (800) 737-0915 and are located at: P.O.Box 392

$50; lifetime warranty; quick turnaround time, and free return shipping

Because your contributions to your thread have stopped (quite awhile ago) may I assume your ABS problem was fixed and hasn't returned? I have been going through the same story, but my issues returned even after Module Repair had "rebuilt" the module and it seemed to be fixed. I'm trying to search out every possible path to getting this whole thing fixed so I can get my smog cert and get back on the road. Any further info you have would be welcome.

Just one suggestion;
I had intermittent ABS problems for a couple of years and went through everything apart from sending the unit for repair.
Eventually I used a soldering iron with a fine tip and touched up all the soldered joints where the connecting socket
pins connect to the PCB. These are the 21 joints in the upper left of the PCB. I did this about 2 years ago and not a single
ABS light since then. Seems like there must have been an intermittent connection at one of the joints.

If your photo is the "after" pic, you did a really ice job on those solder connections. My brother re-soldered the two power joints and then went over the smaller connections, fixing a few.....but the module still didn't work. I gave up and sent it to "Module Repair" for a "rebuild". It worked for bout 4-6 weeks and then all the lights came back on. That was 1-1/2 years ago and I still have a Christmas tree and cannot pass smog in CA because the irrelevant CEL stays on.

I recently purchased a whole module and pump unit from a working car that had been hit in the rear. An actual MATCHING number module that has been "rebuilt". I just can't get around t doing the R&R. When I do, I will send the original module back to be checked and tested again.

These finicky modules are RIDICULOUS, and Jaguar should replace them for EVERYONE who has one.

BTW: Thanks for getting back to us and giving us your results.

I really sympathize with the folks who own the 1997 model year XK8/XKR cars. Those ECUs never should have passed the quality control process. Yes, Jaguar should have ponied up and replaced them all years ago when the failures began showing up but as we all know at this point, Jaguar Corporate has not cared one whit about us XK8/XKR owners for the past decade if not longer....

That was a photo I borrowed from another forum member, but I am a retired electronics tech so I did a pretty good job. At least I think so! Good luck with your continuing investigations.
