It make sense to build a single piece of braided stainless steel line similar to say a brake line? There are a lot of aftermarket motorcycles brake lines using braided stainless steel lines. I know a couple of places where they can custom make braided lines, but I suppose the hard part is getting the connecting end pieces.

Most braided stainless steel brake lines can easily handle 2000psi (really hard stop) and the really good ones handles 3500-4000psi.

Pull the upper console down and look for green fluid. It just snaps in place. If the car has been repaired with the splice kit previously look in the left dash fascia fuse panel and below. Check Gus's web site for pictures.

This company carries these hoses and many other stock Jag parts some of which are hard to find, aside from the dealerships. Shipping is a bit expensive so it pays to consolidate ordering from them.

Cheers.

Go to my page and go to the hyd hose evaluation and go down to the pump. The pump has a filler on the top of the tank, a little hard to get to. I used my wife’s basting syringe with a hose attached to it. It works great and she is still looking for it!!!!
You need to know that the low level means you have a leak and you need to know where it is before it creates a problem with your interior.

Good Luck!

Just experienced this problem myself. Damn. Dealer sadi $1500 to $2000 to fix. Small leak appeared on my rear view mirror leaking from the sensor above it. Guess I will be looking to buy a hose as well. Trying to follow all the comments here. Who has a new hose for sale? Anyone?

Angry

got the green shower yesterday! LOL its good i tried the convertible top before the test drive, so this really helped to shave $1k off the *********** price.

I havent opened up the top yet, but when getting the leak above the rear view mirror, is the solution always going to be bad lines? and replace for about $300?

Probably, there's also a chance the cylinder could be leaking. Or both. :-)

Ah yes --or in my case, words uttered upon delivery. Seems hydraulics were kaput when I bought it.
