Convertible Top Sealant

303 will improve the appearance of the top slightly, but to restore color would require getting all the 303, or any other sealant, off of the top first in order to let dye in. I tried this with the slightly faded areas (at the folds) on my car's black top without any success at all. Never could get it to absorb any color.

303 will just waterproof your top. It will not help sun fade or soften it.

TIA.

It does protect against UV:
"Powerful enough to protect fabrics in the harshest environment ...outdoors. Yet 303 High Tech Fabric Guard is safe for the finest fabrics, wool, silk, and fine leathers - including suede. On outdoor fabrics, 303 High Tech Fabric Guard restores lost water repellency and stain repellency to factory new levels. 303 High Tech Fabric Guard resists soiling, impedes mildew formation and helps protect against the sun's harmful UV rays. Sorry for not being clear. What I meant is that it will not restore sun fade, which is what the quoted poster was looking for. It does, as you say, slow further sun damage.

Top Leaks!
Here's the stuff I used. I don't know how long it is going to last, but my initial results are great. I don't know how it compares to RaggTop, but for $6 it seems like a bargain. I couldn't find it on the Walmart website but it's probably in most stores.
Waterproofing Stain Repellent and Scent Free Silic
I know this post is old and a Jag group but searching online I found this and have new hope!! I have a 2005 Saab convertible and the same thing is happening - the water just leaks right through the fabric and soaks the headliner. I took it to a detail shop where they used Raggtop to treat it - brought it home and an hour later it rained and the headliner was was soaked again! I was starting to think the top just couldn't be waterproofed anymore and I'd have to replace but until finding this thread - can you possibly share a pic of the product you used (the page in your link is gone) and tell me how long did it stand up? Did the treatment age well? I was wondering if the 303 might work better because it's parrafin based and I don't think Raggtop is...
Thanks in advance!

The non-working link says this:-
atsko-waterproofing-stain-repellent-silicone-spray
Which Google says is this:-
Silicone Water-Guard - 12 oz. Aerosol
I've always used Autoglym Convertible Soft Top Clean & Protect Kit on my cars, which has worked well.
