Thanks, have heard good things about 303 - can't find it out here, now trying to find out if I can order it online - not sure if they'll be able to airmail it or not.

I would think they could; nothing scary in there. Let me know if you strike out; we could try a relay.

On maybe just park the car in the shadow of the Burj and avoid the sun all together. Should be plenty of room there!

That's because a 303 application usually uses more sealant than RaggTopp, if I'm not mistaken...

Default Got the 303

I ordered the regular 303 fabric protectant from NAPA Auto Parts. I put it on this morning using a cardboard placard to block the spray from getting onto paint and windows. It was effortless to apply and I cleaned a minor overspray off of one window with 409 cleaner, removing it quickly. Later this evening we actually had a rare rain storm in the desert. This stuff works great!

I used the 303 and it worked out really well. I was real happy with the outcome on my 03 XKR. I had a few small ware spots from operating the top over the years, and the 303 protector seemed to make them less noticeable. I used a horse hair brush to clean the top before I applied the 303. I got a lot of fine particles out of the canvas using the brush. I think I bought it on Amazon along with the Lexol leather cleaner and protectant.

I used Raggtop and got good results. Tried 303 and liked it better because you can get it in a pump bottle. Easier to apply than the aerosol.

Default 303 outperforms Raggtop

After years of using Raggtop, I applied a coat of 303 Water Repellent and found the results were much better with 303. Raggtop seems more like a waxy barrier product, while 303 simply evaporated into the fabric. When the top got wet with Raggtop, water beaded up, but soon began to soak into the fabric. But when water hits the 303, it simply beads up and the fabric actually stays dry... both in appearance and in fact. I have switched over to 303 and IMO you should test it out as well. I was impressed. Gordo

+1 on the 303.

I was worried the first time I used it because it just soaked in and looked like it disappeared. However come the first rain it proved itself as the water just beaded up and ran off.

And their marine vinyl protectant works 10x better than Armor All products. No slimy film like Armor All and absorbs in to protect.

Agreed. 303 seems to be top-notch in the convertible top protectant marketplace. I am particularly impressed with how long it lasts when applied under ideal weather conditions (sunny, no wind, and temps above 75 degrees). My initial application in April 2012 did its job for the rest of the calendar year. My wife's XK8 is now on its second application. I find that the 32-ounce bottle of 303 is enough for two complete applications....
