Coolant leak - need help finding part #
Hi Guys!
the wife's 2000 XK8 developed a small coolant leak that took me while to figure out. I think I found the culprit: the connector from the engine block pipe to the (what I think is) the hose to the heater core. I didn't dig deeper to identify if I need to replace the whole hose or if I can replace just the connector - can someone here tell me what part # I need to look for? any tips on how to replace that thing would be really appreciated as well.
thanks!
here's a picture of the connector:

That is the infamous 'Norma' connector which is part of what some of us call the 'octopus' hose assembly, part number MJA6728AC. It lists for around $225. The intake pipe, throttle body and coolant fill tank need to come off for access. If you DIY. expect some scraped knuckles and be sure to refill with a compatible coolant. A cable operated hose clamp tool is also a must for this job.
The connector is an integral part of the hose assembly.
