cooling system question
so the last few times I've driven the Mistress, I've noticed a small amount of coolant behind the passenger front tire. Checking coolant level, it was down just a bit so top it off and life goes on. Yesterday, while I had the front end apart to replace the upper shock mounts, I decided to pull the liner and look at the atmospheric tank. I could see some coolant puddled on the car frame just under the tank but I ran my hands along the tank and it was dry. Checked hoses and they were dry, no signs of cracks or leaks. Tank level was more than 3/4 full. Is it possible that my cap for the expansion tank is faulty? Just trying to figure out why I'm getting coolant leaking from somewhere

not sure how the Norma connectors would impact coolant under the atmospheric recovery tank and at the seam of the rocker panel/rear of front fender - but will be checking all the hoses/connectors. Yeah the cap is about 3 years old - was replaced with the expansion tank. I also have a spare expansion tank with cap so may swap out caps first

I suggested the Norma connectors because you said you saw coolant behind the front passenger tire. That is not far from where a Norma connector was on my wife's 4.2 before my neighbor and I cut it off and installed a brass hose barb connection instead (back in late 2020 if I remember correctly). The brass hose barb fix solves that problem permanently. I hate those lousy plastic Norma connectors....
