Default Corona Virus - positive benefit

I'm using the self-quarantining concept to give myself uninterrupted time to work on my many little want-to-dos.
Primarily playing with a tesla projector housing I want to try for high beams.
I have both HID and LED conversion assemblies, hoping the LED can be made to light deeper into the night but time will tell.
I hope everyone remains safe and healthy during this trying time.

This sounds VERY interesting. Looking to do something similar in UK, with LED spotlights, to replace the ‘errant’ reflectors. Good luck and please keep us posted. R

Weird. A cough doesn't seem to need lots of toilet paper.

Pollen season has arrived here in central North Carolina, about three weeks earlier than usual. Those who are affected (I am among them) may put a serious scare into the general public when we are out and about while sneezing, coughing, and doing our best to keep from rubbing our itchy eyes. I am staying home as much as possible but that is mostly for my benefit, not for those within my general proximity since allergies are not contagious....

Sorry to hear that!

Are you using vast amounts of toilet paper for that?

Maybe when work closes they'll throw the toilet paper like sometimes at sport fixtures...

If you are facing the prospect of two weeks or longer of lockdown, then having two weeks or longer supply of toilet paper to wipe your bottoms with is a good idea.

I don't get why people are surprised that during a panic, people panic buy.

Not surprised. But they're buying a LOT LOT more than a 2-week supply of toilet paper...

This Virus is getting serious...
The impact is going to change lots of things we take for granted, and for some have a devastating effect..

But on a lighter note..

iv heard this Virus is also changing old sayings..
Like......."DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT"....... has now been changed to..

"DRIVE IT LIKE YOU KNOW A SHOP WITH TOILET ROLL IN STOCK"

Good Luck to all

Default Positive benefits of having time at home

Apart from getting onto all the XK8 jobs, there are some other positives of getting locked in at home under self isolation.

Plus our Dogs seem far more relaxed with the family at home a lot more.

I’m getting onto all the small jobs jobs around the house like fixing broken light switches replacing hose on AC water drain (we collect the drain water to use in the garden), and I put in a jury rigged lit light switch in my workshop so I can easily find the switch at night etc

Lots of house chores to do too as the house maid and gardeners aren’t working now. Long time since I had to sweep, clean, mop and do the laundry and ironing. Planning to cut the lawn too.

Plus evenings are spent binge watching old series like The Walking Dead - post viral zombie apocalypse theme! Very apt!
