Default Correct throttle percentage at idle? Wisdom needed.

Hello guys-

I had my throttle body off last week, and obviously had to reinstall the throttle cable when I was finished.

I've got the Torque OBDII app on my phone, and presently my throttle percentage is at 1.0 - 1.2% at idle, which seems a bit low. There's an ever-so-slight struggling of the engine at this throttle percentage.

Can anyone tell me what the proper throttle percentage should be at idle?

Thanks in advance for your help.

As long as your idle rpm is correct then, I wouldn't worry about it.

Based on what do you think this is low?
Considering there is a bypass valve for regulating idle. It could even be 0%

The engine has a slight, intermittent hesitation at idle, which appeared after I reinstalled the throttle cable. And although I don't remember the exact throttle percentage that was normal for idle before the work, I don't think it was as low as 1.0 - 1.2%.

But I could be wrong. I've recently had my fuel injectors cleaned and flow-tested...then did a hard reset of the ecm just this morning...perhaps the car is just learning to operate with the increased flow ability of the injectors.

I'm not familiar with the "bypass valve" for regulating idle...is that present on my 1997?

My throttle position sensor shows 1.9% at idle (650 RPM) Click the image for the big version.

I know its a little different engine, but it should be close. I adjusted my cable with AE with the engine off so that there was 0% on the TPS, but the absolute throttle position is about 0.3% higher when the engine is running (at idle).

That's normal according to the technical manual ~600 rpm. That's what mine is at too.
