Covid 19
Probably not the place to post this so admin's, please move/delete if needed.
Anyway, just checking in to see how the XK8 owners around the world are doing? Our governor here in Michigan has pretty well shut down the state. The toilet paper fiasco has me astounded, amazing what some people will stockpile/hoard. Healthwise, the wife and I are still doing okay, how are the rest of you holding up?

We're doing ok here in PA. Our gov has pretty much done the same, however my wife and daughter work at a grocery store so they still have to work. My son works at a food processing plant so they're still working. I work at a refractories plant, but have been off on FMLA due to sinus surgery, however as of right now I was to go back on the 25th. They were to close, but they are fighting it and have told everyone to come in as normal smh. We'll see how long that lasts. As for the tp shortage, we had ordered a case on Amazon a week before it started getting bad. That's our normal thing though. Unfortunately, the supplier just cancelled our order so what we have is what we have. Worse case scenario I have a garden hose lol

Doing well in sunny SC - have been teleworking since Wednesday but no lockdowns. All gyms are shut down so good thing we invested in a pretty extensive home gym - got to keep active daily. All restaurants are take-out or delivery so will do our part to keep the small businesses running. The Mistress will go out for a drive this afternoon to take the house pony for his vet appt. and tomorrow will work on replacing the pads/rotors
Hope all stay safe and things return to normal soon

We are essentially sheltered in place here in central North Carolina. We are attempting to support a handful of our favorite restaurants by picking up take-out meals from them on an almost-daily basis. If our state decides to shut down all commercial services except for the grocery stores and the pharmacies, we have enough food and supplies to last us for several weeks....

NJersey is same as Pennsylvania, most everything is shut down. It was in the mid 70s yesterday-good day for a cruise, roads were empty.
Yes, I thought to myself "hmm, wonder if cops are less likely to give tickets?", then I remembered a story I just read.
Some guy got pulled over for speeding. A trooper walked up to his window, the guy yelled I have the virus! So the trooper asked him to just hold his license up to the window. Trooper then scanned the license, wrote a ticket, asked the guy to open the window a bit, slid the ticket in and said "you get well now."
Hey I read it on the internet- it must be true. :-)

Up here in northern B.C. we are still doing all right, only 4 cases in our 600,000 square kilometer (231,700 square mile) health region
but I'm sure our time is still coming. Most stores and businesses here are also closed and the restaurants are delivery only. The grocery
stores and pharmacies are open from 7 - 8 AM for elderly folks only and open to the general public after that. I also have the next 2 weeks
off work as the pulp mill we are upgrading is down to essential personnel and maintenance workers only so there won't be any extra toilet
paper in the works any time soon. I had to go for mandatory testing when I got home on Wednesday and I'm now on 2 weeks isolation.
Personally I can use the break as this is the first time I've been home since Feb 10. Yesterday I dug a path to the garage and turned up the
space heaters so today I can go play with the car. Might as well make good use of the free time. I hope you and your families are, and stay,
healthy and safe.

Iv cashed in all... and invested heavily in the local toilet roll factory
(kept the XKR obviously)
In competition fairness i also decided to start up a business installing bidet's..
But i may have competition with the local garden hose factory.
Keep safe to all.....

Under self isolation in Bahrain
Currently in Bahrain under lock down.
Previously when all this Covid19 kicked off about 3 weeks ago, I flew to my wife’s country home in Ireland and we “bunkered down” in the remote rural countryside. No health checks were done in Dublin airport but all of bars & restaurants were shut during our stay.
However I had to return to work in Bahrain 2 weeks later. All Bahrain airplane passengers landed were screened and nose swabs taken at a remote military tented compound. On 2 weeks mandatory isolation now. No idea if we’ll see the test results.
One of my Bahrain staff had Covid19 so I closed the office and told all staff to work from home.
Good news, the Jag’s annual beauty treatment (minor paint touch ups) was done in my absence, plus the car parts for the Jag’s cooling system R&R had arrived in the post. British Parts came through again. Guess what I’ll be doing with all my home time!

Hey from North Myrtle Beach, SC. As others from the Carolinas have said restaurants and bars are closed but, it's pretty normal here right now. Had to run out this afternoon to Lowes, and Home Depot. Less cars on the road but, stores had people in them and it was like a typical Saturday. Food stores are definitely low on some items especially meat of any kind. Other than that like I said pretty normal.
My wife works in sales from home so no difference there except her company in Pennsylvania is closing for two weeks. We'll have to see how that goes. Weather has been awesome and I'm getting some outdoor construction projects done before the hot weather sets in soon.
Would love to get the Jag Cleaned up but, the pollen is horrible right now so that will wait another week or two.
Hope everyone stays safe and at least enjoys the time off.

NC has not been particularly bad as several noted above. A bunch of top-down weather around here with a yellowy tinge.
But there are now four of us in the house, all conference calling at the same time. It's much louder at home than in my almost completely abandoned office now.
We've divided the house up in case we need to quarantine from each other. I got the garage and the basement.

Lucky you Dale.
Beautiful day here in Spencer NC, but again take out mostly, and from my point of view, not putting in the effort to make it taste good. Doing a brake job for a buddy's son and he went for hot dogs, bloody awful but the chilly was good, should have got a chilly dog with onions.
Oh, if you think a Jaguar rear wheelbearings are a pain, try a Ford Explorer, you have to chisel the pinched bolts gap to get the trailing arms and ball joints apart. The hub will be headed to the machine shop Monday, my 20 ton press made the hub giggle. LOL
Everyone will have to figure what we need to do in a month or so, Just hope you loved ones can keep safe.

Southern Ohio here, same major precautions as everyone else. I'm in the essential group so it's to work everyday with gloves and masks and adjusted hours. I do machine maintenance at an "automated" pharmacy so we gotta keep rolling out the meds. We still have lots of peeps. If folks fall short of supplies we'll have another health crisis on our hands. We have testing tents at the entrance. The Mrs. hasn't left the house for days.
They say the virus doesn't appear in the open areas so cruising top down or riding my mc would be good therapy !! Let's ride,
Edit: I'm sending my well wishes for all. I've enjoyed the "contact" and communications from folks all over. Please take care, we'll get through this eventually and life as we know it will reform. To members domestic and abroad my best to you. TM
