Cracked Rim
The boss lady came home yesterday and said that she had hit something in the road. Well the tire had lost about 10 psi pulled the tire and i have a crack on the back side of the rim. Saw an add on the Forum for rim guard extreme stating that they can repair cracked rims. Called and they said they could repair the crack for about $175 which is a h#ll of alot cheaper then a replacment, if I can find one. Has anybody ever used them or done a simular repair?? Thanks Jim

I did the same thing about 2 months ago. A truck in front of me dropped a pallet and I didn't have enough time to get around it. I went to my local tire store and they turned me on to a wheel repair shop. I spent $125 and they welded my rim. Can't see the weld, and works great. Was worth every penny.

I replaced a rear rim (18 inch) non chrome, for $200 which included the shipping costs. I ordered from wheelsrims dot net. The website shows the price at $111, but when I called them on the phone, they said "due to the specialty nature, and relative rarity of the rim blah blah blah the price is actually $50 more than it shows". I thought this seemed like false advertising, however, I also thought I don't have many choices, and the price still seemed acceptable. The rim arrived within a week, was in excellent condition, and I am happy with the purchase.
