Crank won’t start

Crank won’t start
Hello,
I own a 2002 Jaguar XK8. I’ve encountered the proverbial Octopus hose leak I ordered new hose and throttle body gasket. I used the forms to perform the install.(thank you)
The forms suggested I remove throttle body, I did. I was able the cut the hose into small pieces for removal. Next step instructions were to move the large black electrical connector on top of bell housing and firewall. Which I did via the long bolt. This left me with the black bracket that the large black electrical connector was connected to. There were approximately 5 smaller electrical connectors on it. It looked like this was held onto the bell housing via 2 bolts. Tried to remove them, wouldn’t budge. Also only could get a box end wrench on them. No luck. Hope this was the correct way. I pondered for a day, then decided to try to fish hose from passenger side to drivers side. Behind that black bracket.
i taped back all the different ends of the hose, to make more streamlined and then fished a fish tape from drive side to passenger side.with some pushes and some pulls, I got it through. After some more knuckle busting, I finally got it connected. Reinstalled black electrical connector to bracket. Reinstalled the throttle body and remaining connections.
filled radiator.now I’m ready to start. Battery was disconnected and charging through whole procedure. Now car will crank(no tach) but will not start!!! Anybody have ideas?
are there connectors behind the black bracket that many have been distributed?
I can see back there, even with a mirror.
Thank you in advance for any help offered. John

Hi John,
It's a bit tight in there even with the TB removed, as you have found, unless you're 7' 6" tall and have small hands
There are no connectors behind the bracket, only the ones that sit on top of it (for HO2 sensors, etc.). The large multiplug that's bolted to it joins the engine wiring loom to the rest of the car, so it's possible that disturbing it may have caused the problem.
If all was OK before the job, then I'd suggest revisiting what you did:- check that all the connectors are connected and/or seated properly, etc.
Do you have a code reader? There may be codes thrown that would help to track down what's wrong.
Did the car sit unused for any length of time before this?

Found problems
I finally figured out what my problem is.
I tried an OBD Tester, no result.
I then looked and felt around under the throttle body, no result.
I then removed the throttle body. I looked and felt around this area.
I then removed the large black electrical connector. Behind that are a group of smaller connectors. To the far left ( facing vehicle) there is (approx.16 pin)
Black connector. Top was just sitting on its opposing side, I clicked it together.
i also found a vacuum line disconnect under the throttle body but on intake
manifold. I repaired that. I kept looking around engine compartment, nothing
else seem to be out of place. I put I back together, said a prayer to Jaguar GODS
now it would start but stall. I installed the air intake, Happy Birthday
I want to thank Michael for his support.
