Curb rash repair.

Curb rash repair.
I have spent quite a while searching, and can't find anything relevant to curb rash repair of my XK8 rims even though I recall seeing a thread about it some time back.
What I have been able to learn through searching is to be sure to use paint of the right color, which is obvious, but I simply cannot find any thread that directly references such a repair. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I repaired the rash on my wheels using an epoxy puddy. First I sanded down the raised areas, washed the wheel and then used the puddy to fill the scratches. Sanded it smooth and filled more where necessary. The puddy I used was J-B STIK. You cut off a small piece and roll it in your hands to activate. I would suggest wearing disposable gloves when rolling it. My repair has been on for at least 1 1/2 years and no problems. The aluminum wheel has to be clean when you apply the puddy. I taped off the tire and did the repair and painting with the tire on the wheel.

Here's a well documented and illustrated procedure that shows what can be repaired:

So it's an MG. An alloy wheel is an alloy wheel!
