Default Damaged BCM

Hey, I've got a 2002 xk8 with a water damaged bcm. The Jaguar dealership says that they cannot reprogram a user module and can't order any new ones. So I tried sending the module off to a company that repairs them and they said they were unable to. They suggested module cloning but I don't know of any legit companies that do that. If anyone knows anything about module cloning or alternative options for repairing/replacing the BCM I would greatly appreciate the info. Thanks

VCATS, VCATS, VCATS, VCATS, VCATS, VCATS, VCATS, VCATS, VCATS, VCATS, VCATS!
A BCM needs NO CONFIGURATION if the VCATS suffix and module number match!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The suffix 3 digit code IS the software configuration!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get a used module with the same VCATS and a same or superseded part number and you will be GOLDEN.(HAPPY HAPPY)

The 4.2 2003MY XK is a 'whole nuther animal' but the 4.0 XK (X100) is a simple VCATS module car.(less modules to configure)

So as long as the last three digits on the BCM match it will not to be reprogrammed?

The module is ALREADY programmed.(the VCATS suffix is the software configuration)

The only module that would need any 'extra' configuration would be the ECM. It needs Immobilization Setup if it is moved from vehicle-to-vehicle.
The ABS module 'sometimes' loses it's configuration and needs introduction the CAN bus.
A body control module is factory programmed and needs no farther configuration if it is installed in a SIMILAR CAR. (matching VCATS suffix)
