I took my 2005 XKR to the local dealer in San Jose, CA last year. They charged $100 to re-program the headlights to Canadian-style (including DRLs). Now I just leave the headlight switch set on "auto" all the time. The DRLs are on during the day; regular headlights on at night. Turn off the ignition & the headlights go out.

Ray, That is the same thing/result I had only you got a better price (your $100 to my $163). I am very satisfied with the decision and result. The small car is more visible and we feel safer when driving it. It seems strange that DRL's are not required in the US. I would recommend it to everyone. Just think of the last time at dusk or, coming at you out of bright sun, another car was right there and you didn't see it until the last minute. Tom :-)
