Defroster problem
Good morning,
I'm new to this forum and have a problem with the defrosted on my 2003 XK8 convertible. The other day with the top up and nothing on my windshield started to fog up. Opened both windows a bit and it cleared up. Closed the windows and it fog again. Turned the defroster on and it iced a little. Turn the temperature up to no avail. Temperature outside was about 60 degrees F. Yesterday with the top down I started it up and it fogged a bit then cleared up in a few seconds. I was thinking heater core but no smell or loss of antifreeze. Any ideas?

Plenty of threads on the forum about the HVAC system. Usually it's the lack of heat due to failing pump or valve.
(here's one: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ng-well-66815/)
What I don't get is how you iced the windshield with it being 60 degrees outside. Ignoring the fact that at 60* I'd have the top down, how did you produce ice?
The cabins in the 'verts are pretty snug, so the combination of hot air (breath) against cool outside air will fog them pretty fast. The A/C does most of the work by taking out the humidity. Is your A/C getting cold?
