Default Drive shaft flex joint

Hi guys,
I was out the other day and the car banged in hard to go forward. I don't think it was the trans, I changed the oil last year and the oil that came out was pretty clean. It felt more like a sling shot effect. It hasn't done it since. any advice. I was wondering if the slip joint was going away? Thanks

There is a rubber connection between the transmission and drive shaft but a hard bang is not a symptom of an issue there.

A 'bang' while accelerating from a near stop is a symptom of the 'A' drum failure.

See the FAQ sticky above for lots of discussion on the A drum.
