Drivers seat bracket broken?

So the bracket the holds the screws in on each side has somehow broken on both sides and the front part of the seat now flies backwards from the front when I accelerate. I have no idea on how something like this is even possible, is this common? Can someone tell me a part number or how to find a replacement and how to do it?

Having the part no. is not going to help you much, if you can not see a way of welding the broken section back together your only option is replacement, from Jaguar they come as an assembly, no individual sections, no individual part no.
From Jaguar you are going to be looking at ALOT of money $$$, but from a breaker, I would sell mine for about $60 depending on type, having memory seats makes a difference....
If you are that keen to get the part no.s download the Jaguar Parts Catalogue, it is avialable on the forum

This just broke on my 1997 XK8, too. It seems like an odd thing to break. I don't know if it is worth trying to replace the whole seat or if I should just find someone to weld it. If it took 17 years to break, hopefully a spot weld will buy me a another 10.
Looking for a link on how to disassemble the seat - it is the drivers side memory seat.
The worst part about it is that the Spring is finally here and I can't take the car out for a spin!

Thanks rchweidan. I disassembled the seat, found a car guy that does his own welding, and got it fixed for free. The welded brackets are solid!
I was not able to get the control panel for the seat off so I could not completely remove the upholstery or padding. He was able to weld with everything attached with no damage, charring, or discoloration to the materials around it. If anyone knows how to remove the seat control panel on a 97 XK8, that would be good to know.
