I have recently had the seat module replaced on my 1992 XK8 and all functions worked OK for a couple of months.
Now both seats will not move forward, they are stuck in the extreme position.
When operating the switch at sides of seat a whirring or clicking sound is audible as though it is trying to move the seat forward.
Would really appreciate if anyone can advise what the problem could be?

1992 XK8? I assume you mean 2002 XK8? The XK's have had issues with seat modules, motors and switch packs. Have you checked all the fuses? If they are all good, try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, reconnect, and recheck. Report back and let us know what you found.

 

Thanks very much for your prompt reply & apologies for my misprint with the year, it is as you stated a 2002 XK8.
I will check the fuses first, but could you advise the location of the fuse box, as I understand that there are 4 fuse boxes on this car?
