My 2001 XKR convertible has 60k babied miles. Last week out of the blue the alarm activated as I was getting in the car. it took several attempts to deactivate the alarm. Once inside and started, the codes ASC NOT AVAILABLE and TRAC NOT AVAILABLe and he ABS lite was on. I can cancel the ASC & TRAC but not the ABS to drive it. Once restarted, the ASC and TRAC warning return. Any ideas what the problem may be?

Ditto here. These forums have been an invaluable source of information and one thing I learned pretty quickly is that all sorts of problems derive from a weak battery.
My mom's cousin bought a used S-type (I forget what year) and she started having all sorts of weird warning lights. She brought the car in to the Jaguar dealer who said the lights indicated she had all types of problems and might even need an new transmission!! I told my mom to tell her to try getting a new battery first. Voila--no warning lights and the car has been driving perfectly. Needless to say she found a good independent to go to now instead of the dealer.

Good advice above. Check battery, cables, connections, etc. It may take a few start ups to settle everything back in after disconnecting battery to clean up and service it.
It is surprising how quick a lot of things go to crap on these cars when low voltage is happening (it is british, just can't figure out where they hide the Lucas parts).
Do not despair, probably not expensive to fix.

I'm not the expert, but from reading other threads it seems that dirty wheel speed sensors can cause problems with any function that requires the computer to know how fast the wheels are spinning...I suppose that would apply to your warning lights.
Just a thought.
There is information in the FAQ-DIY section on cleaning your wheel speed sensors...it's an easy job.
Good luck.

grendel, forunately, you're in my neck of the woods, I have my laptop w/ my AE software on it, it can read ABS codes, so what do you say you come by my mom's place tomorrow between 7-9am, I'll be working on her car, you can scan yours and if the C1095 is stored, its the ABS module solder joint. I PM'd you her address, just pull up and find me in the garage, won't be able to answer the cell with the KY-for-trannies all over the place. (not those kind of trannies either)

Thanks for all the helpful ideas re the ABS light, Trac Not Available, etc. I replaced the battery, checked and cleaned all connections I could find AND cleaned the wheel sensors. Problem still giving me fits. HOWEVER, have found that when I take the car out for it's every other week upkeep run of a couple of miles, IF I don't run it hard enough to engage the supercharger, I don't have the warning lights and messages. Am nearly bald from pulling my hair out over this problem. Any ideas?

If I were you I would take H20boy up on his generous offer of a scan to narrow down the problem. It would be good for your scalp

I would second the idea of getting the codes and Matt’s offer is generous if you can do it. I have information on testing and it might help. The chart is for a 1999 but it might help on your 2001.
