Still waiting on the relays. I hope to have them Monday or Tuesday. After that it's wait to see if the problem reappears. From what I understand the throttle body replacementissue was with earlier models correct? I believe my 2001 (built in late 2000) has a different TB than the earlier problematic ones.

I met another jag owner (older female, 1999 xk8) and she said she had a highway incident also occurred on her, but only once. 70mph, down to 20 w/ Restricted Performance shown on the message center. She didn't seem to interested to hear what we were discussing on here either that might help her. Could be she was drinking...but who knows.

You need better pick-up lines.

good one. But when I say older... I mean older than me. I met her in the parking lot, as we came in together and parked next to one another. It was natural to start talking about her ride. She had it painted after an accident to that old, pale blue of the thunderbird era, from its original beige. Its not even close to the zircon.

In that case, thanks for not taking advantage of my Mom when she was a little tipsy.

I'm in Florida. The guy who normally works on the car said he'd order them and they should be here in a couple of days. That was on March 23.

OK, this isn't meant as a blatent sales pitch, since I'm not in the battle for $4.00 relay sales. That said, I receive any new factory parts within 24 hours and $8.95 gets them to you in another 48. Perhaps that will help for future requirements.

Thanks. Next time I'll contact you. If the parts aren't in by Friday when I get back from a trip, I'll email you.

The way I see it is that the question is asked, it receives several answers. The person asking the question has success in the repair and we never hear from them or what worked. And I have a dime on this!!!

And the way I see it, receiving no reply is not always a bad thing. More often than receiving a satisfactory resolution, or a thanks, you will receive a slap in the face. From the person you were trying to help, or another poster who's sole purpose in chiming in was to play the one-upmanship game. Nothing really gets done on here but the clock.

Yes I do understand. It has been done to me and liked it less than you! A simple Thank You works for me!

Since this thread seems to be getting a lot of attention, I would like to take this chance to say THANKS to jagtech, brutal and the others on this site who actually know what the hell they are doing. You guys take the time to dispatch a lot of useful information on here for free. I know that I really appreciate and value what you guys have to say and I'm sure others do as well. So once again.....THANKS!
