Engine died at 80+ mph

I thank jagtech by buying used parts from him. Ken@british gets alot of my business too. Brutal would see me more (and get free pizzas and kolaches for him and his comrades) if he weren't 4 hours away. It never hurts to give these guys a pat on the back once in awhile, thought they would love to get some business on the side for alot of their free time used typing to us leaches. I say that with a smile, perhaps a 'sponge' is abetter term to use.

Matt, you are one of the guys who gets it, and your trust is much appreciated.
Gus, your site helped a guy with his throttle body connecrtor job last week.
Brutal is a hoot, I finally had the pleasure of meeting him, if only over the phone. We're working on something behind the scenes, so there isn't much else to say here except Thanks for all your efforts.

You never posted your trip to the races brutal (at least not in any threads that I was slightly interested in). My crystal ball was at the cleaners (see how I plugged your mechanic jargon) so I was unable to correctly foresee your arrival. After 6 jellies, I hope you ran back to houston as appropriate exercise to offset said calories!

Update on Low Speed Engine Cut-Out
I cleaned the throttle body (it was already clean, but did it anyway); and reamed out the part load breather hole again. So far, in the last two weeks and 200 miles, there has not been a repeat of my stalling [at lower speeds, not the high speeds referred to in this thread]. My Indy also seems to think the issue is throttle body relays. If it happens again, thats my next move. gordo

Gordo,
Glad to hear that you were able to resolve your stalling problem. I had it two times, the first with the TB plug and the other with the knock sensor that was intermittent. Both were a real opportunity!
As for this post, I was anxious to see the cause. I also wanted to stir up JagtechOhio, H20boy and Brutal. They were talking about Pizza, Krispy Kream, Coffee, Jelly Filled donuts and Texas??? They got this thing going on. And they took time to give me up the road about not knowing that you can put the roof up and down with the door key. It was a surprise to me!
I am still working on the roof hose. We just about have it put together and will have a hose ready for test on a vehicle. Our concerns were the fittings and the hose with the temp and pressure as you well know. I will know for sure when we get the hose together. I hope to get with him this week. Will let you know when it is available. My next project after it is to make a repair kit that will connect to the old hose and not give out.

First, I'd like to apologize for not getting back here earlier. Work has taken a turn for the busier. anyway, the relays finally arrived, were installed and so far, so good. No new incidents. Second I'd like to thank eberyone who contributed to this thread, particularly Brutal and JagTech. You guys rock.

JagTechOhio: Your mention of momentary power loss to the ECM sounds right. I would get the same reaction from the car if I turned the key off while in drive. All the gauges go to zero, all the warning lights come on and the beeping audio alarm goes on.
Gus: With A13402, my vin is within the range of the Throttle Body Plug issue you mention. Would it cause my engine to behave like the description above?
H2O Boy: As for having a code reader in the car. Where would I get one?
