Engine management light after borewash
I'd appreciate some advice if possible:
Moving the car to get the motorbike out I stupidly stopped the engine after only 10 seconds' running. When I went to restart the car I got the typical symptoms & realised what I'd done.
I took the plugs out, injected 10 cc of oil into each cylinder, put it back together & found it still wouldn't start. On advice, I took the plugs back out & left it several days to vent. Everything was cleaned thoroughly & then put back together.
After a few attempts I got it to fire up & took it out for a good run. At first there was a little smoke from the exhaust but I put that down to the oil in the cylinders. After a brief time the smoke disappeared.
The car now runs fine but the EML is on. I hooked up my Gendan EOBD reader to it & it says no error codes. I disconnected the battery & touched earth/ground cable to live post for a few seconds & tried again; EML on, no codes to read.
Apart from telling me not to do it again, any advice on the situation would be very welcome.
