Default Engine misfire.

I have just replaced spark plugs, coils, fuel filter on my 2004 xk8 4.2l and have been running high octane fuel. I still notice that the car is skipping at normal operating speed , I don't notice a skip at idle. I sure could use some advice on the problem.

+1 on knowing DTCs, if any.

This is posted in the wrong forum. Should be in the X100 forum if the vehicle is a 2004MY.

Oldelance,
You're in the X150 Forum, for 2007-2015 XK/XKR models. You should be here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/

Should be codes, then. Sounds like your tool is failing to report them. They're kept AGES so they'll be there.

Also, look at the fuel trims.

I've moved your question from X150 (2006 - 2014) to X100 (1996 - 2006) forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your 2004 XK8.
