Ok it’s been a while…but the problem has been solved! The problem turned out to be a loose screw on the electrical connector to fuel pump line to the ECU (or whatever you call it) when the new pump was installed. One of the pins was not fully seated. Simple fix that took 2.5 months to detect! Why you might ask? Well it all started when she refused to start one morning in late September. I had her towed to the Indy who originally installed a new fuel pump a month or so earlier.. Of course once arriving at the shop, she cranked up immediately— having refused to do so for over two weeks at home. Soooooo… Every morning for almost three months she has cranked right up at the shop. It’s an 65 mile tow so I was reluctant to drive her back home out of fear the problem would without a doubt return once home, requiring another expensive tow. Intermittent electrical issues are frustrating!

Last week, one morning she finally refused to crank. So the testing began and problem quickly discovered and resolved!

She is now ready to go, except unfortunately just before Christmas a delivery backed into the drivers side front corner breaking the headlight and making a small dent in the sheet metal above the headlight! So the shop began a search for a replacement. A correct one has finally been sourced and the necessary bodywork is in process!

We expect to be back on the road this week! And Spring is just around the corner!
