I would compare it to the Aston. Doesn't have that "Beefy" sound like the late model Mustang.

Hmmm .. some of the later ones have that unmistakable Mustang "bark". Maybe they had aftermarket or the sports exhaust.

If any of the exhaust fans(afficianadoes), reading this thread have achieved the Mustang "bark", please reveal your secret.

On the other hand, if you've been bitten by a Mustang ...

Take it from the owner of a relatively hot old Corvette - - - Most of the time a Mustang's bark is worse than it's bite!!

Ahh ... but it's still a lovely bark. That '71 ever been beaten by a .... '87 Dodge Diplomat taxi special? The driver's girlfriend thought it was ... umm ... amusing.

Anyone have a Mustang V8 willing to put it up on a hoist and measure the muffler, pipe lengths, and H pipe placement?

No, but one time I did go neck-and-neck with a 70's vintage Rambler American with 4 people in it. It had to be the ultimate sleeper.

Cheers,

Cheers,
Likely a 1968'ish American Motors Rebel with either the 290 or 390. Very deceiving

I haven't made anymore changes. I'm happy with the sound the "X" pipe has added. I think I'll leave good enough alone.....

Hi
I also have the Adamesh Cat. back system with quad tail pipes fitted, and it sounds great. Its not to noisy like my Corvette.
