It may be the same advice but it sure sounds different the way you say it :-) :-)

I always thought that the road designer intended for drivers to run up all lanes normally until they end and then move over smoothly and blend with traffic.. it's nothing to do with taking turns or anything else, its just road design. Folks that get excited over this are wasting their energy.
Having a car that can out-accelerate 99% of the cars out there means that you don't need to prove it. Some will drive more slowly so that others can see them in their beautiful car without the blur and remember their happy face!

The other day my wife and I drove to Myrtle Beach. While on the 40 going east, I was in a cat and mouse with a cadillac.....my wife was oblivious to this situation and had no idea that while in this pursuit, I managed to climb up and over 100 mulitple times. The Jag performed so well, and so smooth. It is almost impossible to drive slow in this situation. A burst of adrenalin hits you and you must accelerate.

Jag owners come in all flavors, so to speak.

I didn't buy a supercharged Jaguar just so that I could spend my life dawdling along without ever feeling the power. Sheeesh, what's the use of having a Jag if you don't get excited about an opportunity to pour on the coals from time to time? :-). They're not made of glass, after all !

But, true enough, you can buy one just to be seen in a beautiful, prestigious car as you putt-putt along. I suspect that's what keeps Jaguar in business, and that's OK with me.

Seems like a waste of great machinery, though !

xenophobe, why would you want to argue with anyone on this forum? As I see it, we are all equally entitled to our own point of view and should be allowed to express it. When I was a young fool I did things in cars that no one on this forum would believe if I told them, so I don't. I did some truly stupid things, but, at least, not with others in the car, but, nonetheless, as I grew up, I quit doing such things. Everyone has the right to drive their car as they choose to, but, as we become mature adults, we realize that there are some things that we should not do, especially when it might endanger the lives of others. That is not being a "rich geriatric racist snob", it is being a mature, considerate adult. And, where in the world did the "racist" part come into play?

Over the years I've experienced both sides many times...Now?
I tend to generally cruise along and sink it deep into the carpet once in a while when the time's right.

As for opinions? We all have them and are entitled to them.
Name calling someone because you don't agree with their point of view won't be tolerated here.
Further instances that continue to offend will result in an infraction and short term removal of priveleges.
