First Mod - New Grille
Got the first mod complete, thanks to motorcarman (thank you Bob), who installed a one piece grille? I think it turned out really well, what do you guys think. One question, do you guys think I should remove the original Growler badge from the nose and just keep the one on the new grille or should I keep them both?
I also had some preventative maintenance work done. Specifically: adjusted the throttle cable, drained and replaced the transmission, power steering, break, and coolant fluids. I also installed a remote control retractable front license plate bracket. I like it, it works well and doesn't mess up the front bumper cover.
My next mod, with the help of H2Oboy, will be a new audio head unit, which I hope to do in March. Then, I have an '05 rear bumper coming from XKRacer, which I hope to have installed by motorcarman in April, along with a limited slip differential and 3.27 gear ratio.

I was just going to post that exact picture, Norri
Looks great, Mark. That has to be one of the better looking one piece grilles. Your three piece grille will be put to good use when it arrives, and when the weather gets nice again. Then my old grille will go to a nice new home after that.

With The Coupe on this one. Although I'm not usually a fan of mesh grilles, this one looks very good.
Leaving the grille badge and removing the bonnet one has the clean look of the E-Type. (after filling the three holes, of course!)

Mark, I had my badge relocated to a new grille and the holes filled in prior to a repaint, and it was quite a bit of work for the body shop to get it right. They had to rework the area after the first coat of silver because the filler sunk into the holes a bit. They got it right the second time, but sometimes when the light hits it just right I can see the oval in the paint where they had to sand and prep the area, and that was with them working with the cover off the car.
It looks great, and you'll probably love yours, I just wanted to pass that along.
