None of the XJ S-type XJR, etc 315mhz Key FOB's list XK8 as compatible.
I guess the Transponder Key isn't compatible, but the remote still works?

From my understanding the NAS market, only, uses 315hz. What exactly are you trying to achieve, replace a remote that isn't working, or getting a new one. As far as the keys go, even though they may be the same frequency, I don't think you can interchange keys from one model to the next. The early XK or X100, can't interchange with an S-type. Now the XJ350, late model S-Type and X-Type basically use the same key transponder and remote, and can program one to the other. Given that you have an early XK, you can't interchange.

P/N LJA2610AA with a frequency of 315mhz.
Europe uses 433mhz which is no good for US spec vehicles.
If you source a used fob on ebay etc, you can programme it yourself without any tools. Keys must be programmed using dealer level Jaguar SDD.

The left is the LJA2610-AA, The right is a LJE2610-AB or LJE2610-AC.
The AC's are all over E-bay for $30 and are compatible with the Key in FOB mod. The AA's are usually twice this.
