Fondest XK Memories of 2011
What are some of your fondest memories with your XK this year? I have three:
1. The first time I drove up to my home and saw the XKR sitting in my driveway after delivery.
2. I was getting some lamb from an Afghan restaurant and the guy told me that they ran out, as I was walking back to my car he ran me down to tell me he found some. As he was talking he screamed "Oh my God, what the hell is that" as he looked at my car. That was right after I waxed and washed the car for the first time.
3. Driving on 55 west with the wife going to a popular restaurant called Railstop (great food!), it was the first time I had the top down and the weather was PERFECT! Driving home we were treated to a beautiful Saturday sunset.......
It has been a great year and we all should be thankful for the things we own; not everyone has it so lucky (especially those non-Jag drivers ). Happy New Years All!!!!

You could email it to me though Rev.
Favorite snapshot memories, driving with the top down with the ITSMW next to me through the admiring crowds in the center of Lyon for the Christmas Fair, the long drive from London to Geneva through the English and French countryside while hitting 160mph, taking the photos of the car in my signature at the overlook above the house, and yesterday taking some friend's excited whooping 12 year old boys for quick rides through the mountains in their first convertible, just like my father used to do with the neighborhood kids in the 60's.
cheers and happy memories to all,
jj

Brought it home on 11/11/11 and it was the happiest day of the year for the PBTW and 11/11/11 was happiest night of the year FOR ME...
Then a few days later when I regained my strength,, I drove it to North Carolina to title it. Driving through the mountains and on the Blue Ridge Parkway was fantastic...
Washing it makes me Happy,,, I sit outside,,, smoke a Cigar and just stare at it,,, Have not felt this way about a car since my first one at 16,,, (1969 RS/SS Camaro 396 4sp. Hugger Orange)
I am calling the breeders to see if I can find a Kitty like the PBTW's,,, for me to call my own...
That will be my Goal for 2012
Happy New Year Everyone,

This was one event I will always rememer. I went to the small UPS office in Hawkins, Texas near my home. This was a small building with no front windows. The top was down on my red XK8 and I parked it just outside the front door. When I went in there was a lady there talking to the lady clerk. When she was finished she went out the front door and the clerk started waiting on me. Then the other lady came rushing back in and yelled at the clerk to come see the car that was parked outside. Of course that was the Jag. They both went outside to admire the Jag for at least fifteen minutes. Good thing I wasn't in a hurry. That was a fun time.

Miss Kitty
In May, when I saw the car hauler pull over to the side on Fort St in Detroit with Miss Kitty sitting proudly on top, none the worse for the long trip from Fla. I was nervous, since this was an unseen Ebay buy and when I checked her over, she was just as beautiful as her pictures. The short trip back across the border was such a treat, listening to that lovely exhaust note
Then a few weeks later, when I took her to my mechanic to discuss maybe changing the tensioners and he stopped a few feet away and said, "I just need a moment here.." then just stood for several seconds gazing, then just said "I really love this car!"
We have a very twisty river road near here where late summer's afternoon to early evening would find the missus and I cruising along, ...just because..
