The extension is held by two tabs. One at the top, the other at the bottom. If you feel the top of the extension, reach under the sides of the tab and raise it while pulling. top is easier to un-latch. You must pull pretty hard..
I made an extension out of AL. bar stock. Drilled and tapped both ends. (6mm) Six mm stud in one end, to screw into the floor, and the other accepts the existing foot rest base.

The Arden pedals look great, but holy cow are they expensive! I'd love to see some pics when you get done, most of the pictures I've seen are not installed or so small its difficult to see.

I will post some pictures when I finish the interior. Yes the Arden parts are VERY EXPENSIVE! I have their wheels, J-gate surround, shift knob, steering wheel, airbag cover, and pedals... so far. I talked with Arden about a dealer discount and they offer a 25% discount to dealers. I would not be able to sell enough parts to make it worthwhile. Some of the parts I was able to get from a dealer who was closing out his old Arden stock and was able to get some parts for 25 cents on the dollar.
