Front drivers seat

middlemarsh,
Let me help you get started, a few questions please.
Year/model?
When you say easy entry exit I can't help but wonder if you expect it to move back when key is removed (while steering wheel retracts) . I don't believe that was available in any of our X100s.
Might help you get a faster answer if you say more about exactly what you expect, and exactly what is happening or not happening.
Are you saying that the switch to move the seat backwards does nothing?
Did this happen suddenly?
I look forward to hearing more about this, hope we can help. John

Thanks for your reply John. I had an S type and when you inserted/removed the ignition key the seat and steering wheel would move to the your own preselected position I just assumed the the XK8 did the same.Forgive my ignorance I as thought they all did this.I have only just bought the car it is a XK8 4.2 V8 year 2002. Must add the XK8 to my profile.Any help would be much appreciated thank you,

Since my wife will not drive the XK8, and I hesitate to drive her Miata, I set the #2 button to all the way back, all the way in and up. That gives me an 'exit' button.
The next level of issue is the seat control module which is famous for failing and the under seat wiring which gets caught and cut by seat movement.
