Front license plate holder

Finally some wonderful news! I picked up my new company car yesterday (nothing exciting it's a Honda CR-V) and the salesman asked if I wanted the front license plate mount put on. I must have given him an odd look as he then explained that the front plate is now optional. What?!! Last year I paid $50 each, extra, for seasonal plates on our summer cars just to avoid the dreaded front plate.
We may have cold, snow, and lovely spring floods that are up to our ***** but, we no longer have to defile our Jaguars with front plates! Life is good in New Brunswick.

I have a hidden plate that folds under my XK coupe front nose I have only been stopped once in the past four years. I explained to the officer that i had a front plate he must not have had nything to do but stop folks without displaying the front plate as required in Virginia. I showed him that it had pushed up under the front nose when I drove over a bumo in the driveway. I pulled it out and he was more than satisfied. I was in law endfprcement for over 30 years and this was indeed a bit much to make a road stop for not displaying the front plate. I did not get a ticket because I had a mounted plate. Good luck.

Front license plates are required by most States's vehicle codes. If your local area adopts photo enforcement of red light intersections they will usually mount a crusade to ticket those without a front plate. Photo enforcement of car pool, bridge toll (fast pass) and express lane use has brought back the use of a paper plate in California. Older readers will remember that the dealer would affix a clearly visible paper temporary license to the rear window of every car sold. Too many driver's trying to scam the system and refrain from attaching their permanent metal plates for months or even years. I do agree that manufacturers could do a better job incorporating the front plate mount in their designs. Oh, I run both plates on my cars.

The twin Coupe's
Luca,
Never have two Automobiles ever looked better than these Beautiful XKR Coupes....One with Ivory interior, the other in Black.....Each possibly the most beautifully designed Jaguar's ever produced.....Everyday, Luca, someone stops me to comment on the Car....All of which, state the Beauty, Style and something about the "Wheels" or the Color....I've had Ladies stop me just to look at the Interior, comment on it's beauty and the one back in 2001, that wouldn't let me leave until her Husband could get there to "Buy" the 2000 XKR. That Coupe had Black Interior, same as yours's, but with ""Double-Nichol" 18" Wheels...
They continue to question whether the XK8/XKR will ever become a "Classic Car" in the future? I say it already is a "Classic Car" and I know you feel the same! Just look over these Photos again and enjoy the beauty you see!
ENJOY!
