Default Front seat removal (that won't move)

Have a 97 parts car that the drivers seat won't move in and I want to take it out to swap it to mine so I will have heated seats. Problem is it won't move in any direction. Pass seat moved and came out just fine but not the drivers. I put a jumper to the front posts. Any ideas. It is too low to get at the wire plug and take off the outer trim but I think I can get both the front bolts off as is, just not the rears.

Off hand the reason for not moving is the seat control module. If you have the passenger seat out you will see a module mounted on the bottom of the seat. You can remove that module and place it in the drivers seat and you should be able to move it back and forth. You can reach under the seat and loosen the 2 bolts that hold the drivers module in. Then pull it forward out of the bracket lay it on the floorboard and swap it with the passenger module. You will have to have the module repaired for the drivers seat most likely. Darrel Turner does that repair pretty cheap. His number is 858-649-9090. He has a great reputation on the forum for this repair.
My next question is if you don't have heated seats already, (meaning no control switch) what is your plan for turning the heat on. look very carefully at the modules for the existing seats and the modules for the seats you plan to install. Do they have they same type and quantity of plugs. You will not the passenger seat is short one plug compared to the drives seat (no memeory plug required on passenger)

I have a parts car from a little incident with a deer so I have the switch already installed in fact as I replaced some bulbs a few weeks back. Interestingly enough jaguar felt the need to put in the necessary relays from factory. Will try swapping the modules as of course I have 3 working modules. HopeI can get to it

The seat module from a XJ8 around the year 2003 passenger seat will work. Check your breakers yard. I got one for $9.95. Works great.

Took the one off the pass seat and after a bit of tearing my blood thinned skin a bit swapped it out and she worked just fine. Seat is now out. Now the questions are how the heck do I remove the top part (backrest of the seat without cutting wires? There doesn't seem to be an electrical connector on it but rather it splices into the wiring for the bottom. Also, there shouldn't be any other issues with swapping the pleather from the pass side to the drivers side right on a 97 looks like it should fit fine.

Disconnect all the wires from the bottom and you can remove the top. It helps if you take a couple of pictures of the routing to simplify assembly.

I have wires that I can't disconnect unless I remove them from a connector (ie I have wires going to the upper and to the lower on the same connector). Oh and any idea on the difference between seat computers mine w/o heated seats ends in a e the ones I pulled end in an f. Of course I have a bad f module but the e operated it just fine even though from everything I read they need to be programmed by a dealer. Am I going to need to find a f module to have heated seats. Never was successful at programming the seat memory in the others so no concern there.
