Front Springs quick question re: wear

I just looked at my odometer and realized that it's been a other 70k miles, time for new shocks. Then I got to thinking. It was about the same interval that I replaced the springs up front. 70k miles ago.
I remember being disappointed that the new springs made no real noticeable difference back then. I saved the original springs in my shop. (Hey they've come in handy to answer several questions about measurements here on the forum over the last few years:-)).
My question is this. Since I'll be replacing the shocks and shock mounts this week, I'll have access to both sets of springs. If, by some chance, my original springs have less wear than the ones on there right now, would I see a difference in uncompressed, standing next to each other spring height?
Hey if I don't ask I'll never know right?
Thanks, John

John, don't think any difference will be noticed in the uninstalled height.
What were the measurements before taking them off?
That brings up the question, how much of the lose in height was due to the mounts?
Check the wear in the spring collar on the top mount, I have seen considerable wear there and trying to find a pad for the area concerned.
Good luck, and be careful.

I would say probably not. I remember when I replaced my springs while doing the front end renewal in oct 2019, the old ones (which had I think close to 100k miles on them?) were the same height uncompressed as the brand new ones. But I swear they compressed differently - getting the autozone spring compressors on the old ones was I think harder clearance wise than with the new.
